There is no shortage of style here at Altered Image, after 26 years in the business we do it all. Our team of stylists work hard to make sure that every guest that walks through those doors leaves with a smile on their face. We all have our unique talents, but you will have to experience our salon to see. Our salon uses Logics Hair Color along with Redken, Rusk and Pureology hair care and styling products.

What can we say, we’re a team! We’ve been in business for over 26 years now, and we know how to bend some hair. Over the years we have seen trends come and go, from mullets to high and tight, from big and curly to sleek and smooth.  We’ve had all kinds of education over the years, from Myrtle Beach Hair Shows to Rusk Salon Specialist training, Redken hands on, and numerous other classes. Education is the key for us to keep up with current styles.

No matter how styles change, the most important thing for us is that you feel awesome when you leave here.  We feel strongly that continuing education is very important not only for us, but for our young stylists.  We have an amazing sense of  community here, with the farmer’s market, local restaurants, community organizations and community events.

My life completely changed when I moved back to North Carolina, and I found that I no longer wanted to be in a cubicle staring at a computer all day. I’ve done everything, from engineering to antiques. And what I learned is that I love being around people and I love, love, love fashion. Hair styling provides me that wonderful opportunity.

I have been styling hair professionally for three years now, and love it. I love natural, beautiful, stylish hair and find it important to create individual looks for every guest. Katie Winslow – Stylist

I joined the Altered Image Team over a year ago, and have hit the ground running. My passions are music, animals and fashion. I love funky and fresh. I have heard more than once that I change my hair color every couple of days. If you want something new and different come visit me, I love trying out new colors and great new hairstyles.

I have attended the 2011 Myrtle Beach Hair Show with Satin Smooth, Redken, Matrix, and have attended Le Graphique Joico here in North Carolina.  If you are stuck in a hair rut, I’m the person to see.
