What can I say, we have a wonderful team. We opened Altered Image in 1985. I absolutely love what I do. Being creative and helping our guest reach their style goals is my passion. Talking to my guest to learn what their needs are is a big part of success.
I have had all kinds of education over the years. Rusk Salon Specialist training. Hair shows in New York, North and South Carolina, all help keep me up to date as trends come and go. I also enjoy collaborating with my team and picking up some new techniques in the process. No matter style changes, the most important thing for us, is that you feel awesome when you leave our salon!
We have an amazing sense of community here, with the farmer’s market, local restaurants, community events and more. Come check us out, you won't be dissapointed.

What can we say, we’re a team! We’ve been in business since 1985, and we know how to bend some hair. Over the years we have seen trends come and go, from mullets to high and tight, from big and curly to sleek and smooth. We’ve had all kinds of education over the years, from Myrtle Beach Hair Shows to Rusk Salon Specialist training, Redken hands on, and numerous other classes. Education is the key for us to keep up with current styles. Making our guest happy with the end results has always been our pleasure. No matter how styles change, the most important thing for us is that you feel awesome when you leave here. We feel strongly that continuing education is very important not only for us, but for our stylists. We have an amazing sense of community here, with the farmer’s market, local restaurants, community organizations and community events.

There is so much that I could put here, but first my passion is hair. I live and breathe hair, and at times it is all that I think about. It has been that way for a very long time. I have been a stylist for over 25 years, and have been involved in every level of a stylists career. I have owned salons in North Carolina and West Virginia, where I am from. My priority is the guest and making sure that they leave with the best cut, color and style that fits their lifestyle. I love being part of such an amazing team here at Altered Image, and am working to add more education and community involvement while I continue to grow our business. My first training was in Rusk and Tigi methods. I am a Certified Redken Color Specialist for eight years and continue to learn and teach color every day. I have attended Redken training in color, cutting, styling and product knowledge as well as business development. I also have background in theatrical makeup and love wedding styles and make up. I have so much passion for what I do, and love coming into work every day to help make my guests beautiful. Come in for a consultation and we can alter your image any time.

I graduated from Alamance Community College for Cosmetology in 2011 and have been working as a stylist ever since. I've been driven to continually learn and perfect my skills so that I can best serve our guests. I am confident in working with any and all hair types. Curly, Straight or everything in-between, I'm sure to find the best solutions for anyone's needs. I have attended numerous continuing education courses for color, balayage, haircutting, texture services (such as Brazilin Blowout), and I am devacut certified. I also like to take advantage of technology to stay up to date on the newest styles and techniques. I look forward to working with guests, to help them look and feel their best!

I graduated from the Aveda Institute of Chapel Hill in 2008. I found my way into the Altered Image family in 2013. I have spent most of my career fine-tuning and learning new trends in color and cuts. As a hairstylist, I like the whole picture from the foundation of a strong cut and color to the fine detailing that makes it yours, making sure that all your hair expectations can be met. I have always seen things in a different light than most people and until my early adulthood and cosmetology career, I was able to share my creativity and ideas through the art of hair, from the most subtle and natural to the funky fresh, keeping all of my clients current.
